The Taipei Hospital of the Ministry of Health and Welfare has pushed "multilingual" services since March of this year, adding services in 8 foreign languages including English, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Thai, German, Filipino, and Indonesian. This is in reaction to the government's 2030 bilingual policy, to bridge the linguistic gap with international patients so they can receive medical care without fear.

According to the president (鄭舜平) of Taipei Hospital, this year's official bilingual activity plan, developed in collaboration with the National Development Council, will encourage colleagues who are eager to learn about other languages and cultures to sign up for "Foreign Language Angels" training, which will improve the front-line service staff's ability to communicate in foreign languages. More experts should be hired to offer counseling services in foreign languages.
