Guanziling Hot Springs Festival in southern Taiwan to open on Sep 21

The 2019 Guanziling Hot Springs Festival (關子嶺溫泉美食節) will open on Sep. 21 and last through Oct. 20, focusing on hot springs, night festivals, bathrobes, and cuisine, Tainan Bureau of Tourism said in a news release on Aug. 9.

Located in Baihe District (白河區), Tainan City, Guanziling Hot Spring is famous for its mud hot springs and nearby parks that harken back to Japanese rule, such as Dingling Park (嶺頂公園), Hongye Park (紅葉公園), Baoquan Park (寶泉公園), and Guanziling Old Street (關子嶺老街). On the opening day, an opening ceremony and night parade will start at 6:30 p.m. at the Guanziling hot springs area.

A bathrobe event and picnic activities will take place on Oct. 21. Throughout the festival period, there will also be a holiday fair; bathrobe experiencing events; 3D light sculpture shows; outdoor landscape lighting to decorate the streets at night; discount offers for hot springs, hotel, and food packages, as well as other activities.
