Kaohsiung Luzhu New Immigrant Family Service Center Collaborates with Semiconductor Company to Award Scholarships to 18 Outstanding Second-Generation Immigrants 

The Kaohsiung Luzhu New Immigrant Family Service Center, in collaboration with the semiconductor technology company Applied Materials Taiwan, has provided scholarships to 18 outstanding second-generation immigrant youths from northern Kaohsiung and rural areas. The scholarships recognize their academic achievements, special talents, social service contributions, and leadership qualities. The initiative aims to encourage these students to focus on their studies and develop their unique skills.

Applied Materials Taiwan specializes in the supply of specialty chemicals for semiconductor electronics and has established a branch in the Gangshan Park of the Southern Taiwan Science Park. Recognizing the needs of new immigrant families in northern Kaohsiung and rural areas, the company partnered with the Luzhu New Immigrant Family Service Center to promote a scholarship program. Lin, Vice General Manager of Applied Materials Taiwan, stated, "We are honored to participate in this meaningful program and witness the growth and achievements of second-generation immigrant students. They represent the hope of our society's future. We will continue to provide resources and opportunities to promote social integration and infuse society with innovative vitality."

Hung Hui-Yue, Executive Director of the Taiwan Condensed Love Care Association, which implements the scholarship program, noted that the awardees come from various universities and high schools, majoring in fields such as chemical engineering, applied physics, intelligent robotics, cultural creativity, mass communication, nursing, and culinary management. Other recipients include high school students excelling in general education and vocational programs like cosmetology.

Hung added, "We sincerely thank Applied Materials Taiwan for their charitable actions. Their support not only uplifts new immigrant families but also affirms the self-worth of second-generation children in a multicultural learning environment. We will continue our collaboration to integrate more social resources and create opportunities for young people to achieve confidence and success."

This scholarship program not only celebrates the students' efforts and achievements but also demonstrates the combined power of corporate and social efforts to nurture talent. It injects positive energy and hope into Taiwan's society.
