As the pandemic has continued to subside and the situation is under control in Taiwan, the Minister of Education Pan Wen-chung (潘文忠) said that it is expected that about 5,000 foreign Mandarin students are allowed to enter Taiwan in March 2022.

Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) mentioned that the immigration program for foreign students restarted on August 21 this year, and foreign students from colleges and universities have now successfully entered Taiwan. Therefore, the Minister of Education Pan Wen-chung recently proposed an entry plan for Mandarin students to enter Taiwan.

Pan pointed out in an interview that so far, more than 14,000 foreign students have been approved to enter, and more than 13,000 have already entered, Including more than 400 Mandarin scholarship students.

Although a few of the aforementioned foreign students have been diagnosed with COVID-19, the rigorous quarantine measures and the trustworthy medical system of the government and related units have strictly controlled the epidemic situation now. The achievement was made possible with efforts and contributions from everyone.
